Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green said she expects to receive an offer from former US President Donald Trump to be her “right-hand man” in the 2024 election. INSIDE report The Atlanta Journal-Constitution therefore noted that it has yet to decide whether to run for the U.S. Senate from the state of Georgia.
“I haven’t decided yet whether I’m going or not. I have something to think about. If he wins, will I be part of President Trump’s cabinet? Is it possible for me to become vice president?” Green explained.
He added that he would be “honored” to be chosen as Trump’s nominee to take over incumbent US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Green stressed that he would take such an offer “very seriously”.
Trump won the 2016 presidential election alongside Mike Pence, who took over as Vice President of the United States. Four years later, the politicians went to the polls together again, but the failure of the campaign broke their relationship. Pence has been vocally critical of Trump lately, accusing him of violating the constitution for trying to challenge Biden’s 2020 victory. Moreover, the former vice president is running for president, hoping to win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination instead of his former boss.
