Just two weeks ago, Agrounia leader Michał Kołodziejczak argued with Deputy Agriculture Minister Janusz Kowalski that he was not Donald Tusk’s footstool, and that today he is on the Civic Coalition’s electoral lists, PSL MP told Marek Sawicki to PAP on Wednesday.
In the open part of Wednesday’s meeting of the National Council of PO, which is to approve the lists of KO candidates for the Sejm and candidates for the Senate, the head of the PO, Donald Tusk, announced that the Agrounia community will participate in the parliamentary elections with KO. Agrounia’s leader Michał Kołodziejczak stressed that the decision to start together with KO was not an easy one, but – as he said – we must show that, despite different views, we look in one direction – Poland’s future is strong , rich and built together.
He claimed he was not a footstool
Referring to this information, Sawicki said that Kołodziejczak “just two weeks ago argued with (Deputy Agriculture Minister, Janusz) Kowalski that he is not Tusk’s footstool, and today he is on the electoral lists with those who say they are Kaczyński’s five ”.
The Member of Parliament was referring here to the so-called Friday for animals, ie five proposals for the protection of animals. The amendment of the Animal Protection Act – based on, among other things, a ban on the breeding of fur animals and limiting ritual slaughter to the needs of national religious associations – has been protested by farmers, for example. The amendment was passed by the Sejm and passed the working phase in the Senate. However, Senate amendments removing restrictions on ritual poultry slaughter have not been considered by the Sejm. A new project has been announced.
Kolodziejczak next to Spurki?
The PSL MP added that “many PO politicians” voted for these solutions, and today Kołodziejczak and Agrounia “will be on one list with them”. According to him, current MEP Sylwia Spurek (elected in the EP from Spring’s list) will also leave from KO, with whom – as Sawicki said – Kołodziejczak and farmers “will produce meat without meat”.
When asked if he was surprised by the marriage of PO and AgroUnion, he said no. He added that it was good that Kołodziejczak “at least did not join the Confederation”.
Tusk is a well-known strategist, he puts everyone in one bag, but I keep wondering if the voters always add up or cancel each other out. Let’s wait for the reaction of the people of Kołodziejczak, because it’s already pretty intense on social media
– said the PSL politician.
