We have this property that seems miraculous, that when we are in power, there is money, and when they are in power, there is no money – Deputy Prime Minister, PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński said Sunday in Zawichost, where he took part to a military picnic “Strong White-Red”.

To have a strong military, you also need a strong economy, but you also need strong public finances. That’s why during these eight years we were able to spend so much on social policy, increase health care spending and now increase spending on armaments to PLN 137 billion, compared to PLN 37 billion at the beginning. Some say inflation. Yes, inflation, but if you include inflation, that’s still a huge increase
– said Jarosław Kaczyński in Zawichost (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship).
It happened because we have this seemingly miraculous quality that when we are in power, there is money, and when they are in power, there is no money.
he said, referring to the opposition.
In the years 2005-2007 we restored public finances and in 2008, even before the crisis broke out, there were problems in this area. The mere fact that they came to power was a signal to those who plundered public finances on a massive scale that it was possible
he pointed it out.
“Warsaw is crying again
As he said, the entire operation of the PiS government was to prevent large-scale robberies of Polish public finances.
As a result, we have won hundreds of billions of zlotys over the years. This is the source. Of course, part of that was due to economic growth, but most of it was because we just didn’t let it get stolen
– emphasized the President of Law and Justice.
Don’t think this was only on a national scale. For example, when my late brother (Lech Kaczyński) came to power in Warsaw by decisively winning the elections, he faced the disintegration of Warsaw’s finances and administration. In a short time he got the hang of it and in Warsaw, which always cried that it had no money, and today it cries again under (Rafał) Trzaskowski, it suddenly turned out that there was money. Why did it turn out like this? I don’t have any proof in my hand, but any reasonable person can guess where it came from
Kaczynski said.
He also noted that “those who are able not only to arm themselves, to carry out a policy of national consolidation, but also to manage the Polish economy and to bring money into the Polish treasury for the first time in a very long time, it is we, there is the Law and Justice”.
