Ukraine and Britain began negotiations on security guarantees for Kiev. This was announced by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on the broadcast of the Rada TV channel.
“Today, after our American colleagues, we started consultations with our friends and partners from England. These guarantees will help shape our defense capabilities,” he said, noting that the Kiev authorities expect the first bilateral agreements on security guarantees to be signed by the end of 2023.
Yermak added that 13 countries have already joined the declaration on Ukraine’s long-term security guarantees: Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Finland, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
