My expectation is that by the end of this week we will complete the inspection process with a report and final conclusions – emphasized the Chief of Police General Insp. Jarosław Szymczyk refers to the case of Mrs. Joanna from Cracow, against whom police officers intervened.
Joan’s case. “Priority is saving human lives”
The Chief of the Polish Police was a guest on Program I of Polish Radio. He was among others when asked about Mrs. Joanna’s case.
Each case must be treated individually, but we have procedures for situations like this. We are the formation that takes action in obtaining information about the intention to commit suicide, whether by telephone or the Internet
– pointed to Gen. Insp. Jaroslaw Szymczyk.
Saving human lives and preventing such a situation is always an absolute priority. I think there are hundreds, if not thousands, of such cases every year that the Polish police deal with. And we always use all available forces and resources to save what is most precious, namely human life
explained the chief of police.
Complete the inspection process by the end of this week
The general pointed out that the inspectors of the control office of the police headquarters have already completed their work in Krakow.
They returned to Warsaw in the night from Friday to Saturday. They brought with them a large amount of material, some of which has already been analyzed, some of which will be subjected to a very thorough analysis in terms of the implementation of procedures, in terms of making individual decisions.
he explained.
My expectation from the Court of Audit is that we will have completed the inspection process by the end of this week. They concluded with a report and final conclusions
he stressed. He added that at this point there is “no indication that these inspection activities will be concluded with disciplinary conclusions”.

The chief of police was also questioned about the garbage fire in Zielona Góra.
We were very involved in the process of securing the site of this event, supporting the fantastic work of the state fire officials. We were also willing to use our Black Hawk helicopter
– he said.
Based on previous exercises, but also work with the fire brigade, we are prepared to use extinguishing agents from the so-called bambi bucket. The helicopter was ready to take off, but as the situation was under control by the PSP officers, it was canceled

He also noted that there is a big problem with illegal dumps.
That is why we have been working very intensively for several years on organized criminal groups that are involved in this practice. Many cases are handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police, but also by the Economic Department of the Polish Police, which is responsible for these environmental crimes
– added general insp. Jaroslaw Szymczyk.
We also decided that as part of the modernization program of the Polish police, where we are getting additional posts, we have already strengthened the economic department dealing with environmental crimes by 150 posts. This is one of the priorities of the Polish police, because we know how serious this problem is
– informed the guest of Radio One.
