Gazeta Wyborcza published a citizen survey, which shows, among other things, that KO voters are definitely more supporters of economic liberalism than PiS voters. The author of the text, Andrzej Machnowski, almost directly suggests that Donald Tusk should not only not support 800 plus, but even support the liquidation of 500 plus in its current form!
We checked what opposition voters and PiS voters want on the economic front. It turns out that the latter loves socialism. And only them
Machowski wrote.
Among other things, the study looked at support for 800 plus and the 500 plus program – which turns out to be only 3 percent. KO voters favor the introduction of 800 plus, and a whopping 32 percent. wants to liquidate 500 plus. Among PiS voters, in turn, 49 percent. of respondents supported the introduction of 800 plus, and only 5 percent. voted for the liquidation of 500 plus.
The survey also asked about higher government spending during inflation—in this case PiS voters included, and about the share of state ownership in the economy—in both cases KO voters turned out to be much more liberal than PiS voters. On this basis, Andrzej Machnowski … began to swear at the opposition, and it is clear to read between the lines that it mainly concerns Donald Tusk.
“It’s time to stop the ‘helicopter money drop’”
This data makes us wonder who, when it comes to socio-economic issues, is targeting the campaign of the Democratic Opposition, and especially its main force, the Civic Coalition. I follow it quite closely, but I haven’t heard half a sentence about the fact that it’s time to stop “dropping money from the helicopter”, that – if all this is not to end in an economic disaster – we budget, that we should seriously think about the sense of keeping it in the form of the 500+ program and that it is worth investing at least part of this money in education and public services
Machowski wrote.
Nor have I heard statements that the opposition, when it comes to power, will seriously begin privatizing the inflated state property in the economy. However, I heard that “nothing given will be taken away”, and I looked at the auction, which is ready to introduce 800+ faster – PiS or KO
he stressed, clearly referring to Tusk’s proposal.
Machowski stated that just as Tusk ultimately opted for on-demand abortion up to 12 weeks of age and for civil unions, Tusk would have to change his stance on socio-economic issues, taking into account the mood of the electorate.
A change of attitude is needed today in the socio-economic field. Because here too – also in contrast to the bloated nomenclature, corruption and wastefulness of PiS rule – the Poles have changed. They are not only more ideologically liberal today, but also more economically liberal. They are in a different place than they were 10 years ago. It is high time that the leaders of the democratic opposition followed suit
he stressed.
After the poll for Gazeta Wyborcza, will Donald Tusk get another turn, as in the case of immigrants? The head of the PO has already shown that he can quickly change his mind on several issues – perhaps soon it will turn out that he is not only against 800 plus, but in favor of 500 plus liquidation.
