State Duma deputy Ivan Sukharev proposed to develop a special subdomain for hosting websites of gambling organizations. It has been reported RT.
According to the parliamentarian, people who do not have a gambling license recently create online resources that operate illegally on the Internet, allegedly betting shops and casinos, which are not regulated by law and do not guarantee the return of funds to the Russians. He added that they are difficult to distinguish from seemingly legit sites.
“I request you to instruct me to consider the possibility of creating a private subdomain with limited access,” Sukharev said.
The deputy noted that only gambling organizers operating legally on the territory of the Russian Federation should place online resources on such a platform, and access to third parties, including scammers, should be prohibited.
According to the publication, currently in Russia there are already special subdomains with limited access, for example, gov.ru, which is used by the authorities.
