Adrian Klarenbach asked Karolina Pawliczak about her political plans. In response, the former left-wing member suggested that after the opposition won the election, the journalist … would lose his job.
Pawliczak was a guest on the program “Woronicza 17”, hosted by Adrian Klarenbach.
When the journalist asked what party Pawliczak planned to join, who had recently left the ranks of the New Left club, she replied:
You are unusually mean today. I’m not asking you where you go after PiS loses the election
said the MP.
Klarenbach assured that he was not going to another station.
Dismissal
I don’t know if you’ll be here long
Pawlicka said.
In response, Klarenbach asked:
Are you suggesting something? Sounds like threats…
Pawliczak’s answer, however, was not so decisive.
I’m not suggesting anything, but if you say it in person…
replied the MP.
Is this what the norms of debate should look like according to opposition politicians? Presenting impending layoffs to journalists in response to uncomfortable questions is hardly a normal part of studio discussions.
