There will be a lot of reshuffling, but the Civic Coalition has every advantage to win. Law and Justice gave the field to Donald Tusk, Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz said on RMF FM. The former prime minister also argued that the United Right was in conflict internally and that the PiS president is “doing everything he can” so that “Morawiecki doesn’t become the face of the party”.
PiS’s chances of winning the election
The upcoming parliamentary elections were the main topic of conversation with Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz. When asked directly whether Law and Justice had a chance of winning the election, the former prime minister said:
Of course he has a chance, because he has advantages. It has state-owned companies, it has all the institutions, it has its own media called public, it has all this propaganda behind it.
– declared Marcinkiewicz, adding that Law and Justice gave the field to Tusk, so if Jarosław Kaczyński’s side wants to win, it must “get to work”.
They call themselves United Right, but they are not United Right. They are bickering to the extreme, and on top of that, factions are afraid of losing the election and are starting to snag even more. It hinders the campaign
Marcinkiewicz said.
In his opinion, “Donald Tusk broke through by force—mainly by marching, but for the march it looked like it.”
The Civic Coalition has all the data to win, which doesn’t mean it will take power. (…) They are moving towards 40 percent, but this is not enough to seize power
he assessed.
Kaczynski’s return to government
The RMF FM guest was also asked about Jarosław Kaczyński’s return to government. Let us remind you that President Andrzej Duda made changes to the composition of the Council of Ministers and appointed Jarosław Kaczyński as Vice-President of the Council of Ministers.
Earlier, the president dismissed the head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, the minister of culture and national heritage Piotr Gliński, Henryk Kowalczyk and the minister of state assets Jacek Sasin from the posts of deputy prime ministers. At the same time, he appointed them to the following positions: Minister of National Defence, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Minister, Member of the Council of Ministers and Minister of State Assets.
Kaczyński has been coerced for months by the so-called the PC order, ie through his senior Droogs – Suskis and the like – so that he would travel around Poland so that he would announce the PiS program before the elections and that he would become deputy prime minister and Morawiecki would shrink a bit
Marcinkiewicz argued. According to him, Jarosław Kaczyński does “everything” so that “Morawiecki is not the face of Law and Justice”. In turn, when it comes to competition for Mateusz Morawiecki, Marcinkiewicz pointed to Beata Szydło, “who still forms a faction” and Joachim Brudziński and Mariusz Błaszczak, who “stand out against the background of people from the ‘PC order’”.
What does the former prime minister do?
Marcinkiewicz also said he is encouraged to return to politics but is not thinking about it as he prefers to be – as he stated – “an independent commentator”.
I have no contact with Donald Tusk or Jarosław Kaczyński
– he assured, adding that he saw no problem in rumors about him.
