I have decided to return to government because it is a special period, extremely important, the most important elections since 1989, Deputy Prime Minister and PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński said on RMF FM radio on Saturday. I deal with all important matters, especially if they are important from the point of view of the coming months.
Asked on RMF FM radio why he decided to return to government and who actually is the head of this government, Deputy Prime Minister Kaczyński replied: “He decided because there is a special period, extremely important, the most important elections since 1989 .”
Many colleagues felt that this would strengthen the government and the cooperation between the party and the government, because there are always two slightly different entities, distant from each other, and this connection is necessary
he stressed.
The role of the chairman of PiS
As he added, “the prime minister of the government is still Mateusz Morawiecki.”
I’m not going to question it, but I’m not denying that I’m strong here either
– noted Kaczynski.
Kaczyński was also asked in a survey for the RMF FM station and “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, according to which 58 percent. Poles think his return to government is a bad idea, with only 13 percent. PiS supporters think it’s a good idea.
I don’t care, but when it comes to polls like this, I learned in 1991, and even in a sense in 1989, that polls matter, but quite limitedly. In 1989, I ran for the electoral district of Elbląg, where it was assumed beforehand that we would not succeed in the first round, and it turned out that we succeeded, and it went smoothly
noted the deputy prime minister.
He admitted that “it varies.”
Sometimes it’s worse than in the polls, but often when it comes to my political history – I’m talking legal politics, was it better than in the polls
he stressed.
When asked what his formal role in the government will be, Kaczyński explained that he was not the head of the security commission again.
It is still Mariusz Błaszczak, as I deal with all the important things, especially if they are important from the point of view of the coming months, from the point of view of what we want to achieve, which is electoral success
he said.
Resignation of deputy prime ministers
When asked why other deputy prime ministers had to leave the government, the PiS leader said that “five deputy prime ministers is a bit too much”.
They are simply showing solidarity and that is why they have all resigned
Kaczynski said.
It was not resignation to me, but an expression of a certain party and friend solidarity
he stressed.
Meeting in Bogatynia
The meeting in Bogatynia in Lower Silesia will not be devoted to presenting more than 800 proposals; this is a meeting that should show what this election is all about, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński said on RMF FM radio on Saturday.
The leaders of the United Right – led by the deputy prime minister, PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński – will speak about threats to the Polish state and Polish sovereignty in the context of problems with the energy complex in Turów at a meeting in Bogatynia in Lower Silesia on Saturday.
This is a meeting that will not be dedicated to presenting 800 plus type proposals, although there will still be such proposals, although not necessarily of the same type, but they will
– said the president of PiS on RMF FM radio on Saturday when asked what we would hear in Bogatynia in a few hours.
This is a meeting that is mainly intended to show those present, but especially to the whole of society, what is the problem that will be decided in these elections, what is the meaning of this decision, which will be taken by society, by voters in October probably
– added the Deputy Prime Minister.
Proven people
Several proven people with whom we know each other very well through years of collaboration have returned to party activities; From the election point of view, the party is the most important thing, the goal is victory, the head of PiS, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, said on RMF FM radio on Saturday.
As he emphasized, the obvious goal of the election is to win; he noted that from an election point of view “the party is certainly the most important”.
Kaczyński was also asked if they focus on working in government, who will focus on what will happen in the party, and from an election point of view, the party is the most important.
From an election point of view, the party is certainly the most important. But keep in mind that at the moment a few people have returned to party activities, which previously – if only because of their stay in the European Parliament – were not involved. These are proven people and we also know each other very well through our many years of cooperation. Somehow I think it will work
– said Kaczyński on RMF FM.
A few days ago, MEP Joachim Brudziński became the head of the PiS election staff, replacing MEP Tomasz Poręba.
When asked about his return to government, Kaczyński noted that the advantage of such a situation is that “you notice problems that go unnoticed by those inside”.
And it’s not because they’re not very considerate, it’s just the way it is. Please don’t ask me for details, especially as these are minor matters, but as I dealt with these when I was Deputy Prime Minister here, and I was Prime Minister once, I know they are important, although it goes not acting ministers or state secretaries, only at lower levels
– added the head of PiS.
Referendum
A referendum on the relocation of illegal immigrants makes sense, if it meets the eligibility criteria, it is binding on any authority. Our aim is to bring the European Union back from its suicidal course, Jarosław Kaczyński, deputy prime minister and president of PiS, said on RMF FM radio on Saturday.
Kaczyński was asked on Saturday in RMF FM, among other things: whether he is determined to carry out the referendum announced by PiS on the resettlement of illegal immigrants and whether it makes sense.
The president of PiS noted that “the referendum makes sense”. He stressed that if it is valid, ie the criterion of a sufficient attendance of more than 50% has been met. voting, it “shall be binding on every authority”.
So that’s important, very important to us
– added.
Besides, if you think that a referendum in Poland, which is a great European country, does not matter in such a matter, I mean politically, not legally, in the European Union, then you are wrong. It will certainly matter. That is also what we want, to reverse the European Union from its suicidal course
– he said.
When asked if there could be another, second question during the referendum, the deputy prime minister replied that he was in favor of one question, because “it actually has a very specific purpose, a specific subject”.
It responds to much broader issues and, moreover, to the European Union, to all the policies that have been pursued for many years to radically change Europe and, with it, the character of our continent and its culture. I believe this is the road to misfortune, to ruin, to decline. Therefore, I am sure to deviate from this path
– noted the Deputy Prime Minister.
Without changing the decision of the Constitutional Court, the referendum on the liberalization of abortion rules in Poland would be pointless. The Constitution would also have to be changed; I will not hide the fact that I would vote against such a change, Deputy Prime Minister and PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński said on Saturday.
The chairman of PiS was asked by RMF FM whether the question about the relaxation of the abortion rules should be included in the national referendum. As he noted, the Constitutional Court has ruled on this matter and nothing new can happen without changing the decision of the Constitutional Court.
Here the referendum would have no meaning in the first place. Second, you really should change the constitution. I will not hide the fact that I would vote against such an amendment
– he said.
Kaczyński also said it is worth holding referenda, but on “matters of a practical nature”.
Regarding the issue you mentioned – I don’t want to exaggerate – but almost every corner in Warsaw and many other places can be tackled and no one is fighting it
he argued.
Holding a referendum would make sense if, for example, we demand that it be definitively stopped. We do not make such a request
– added.
Kaczyński was also asked about the presidential project that provides for the introduction of a condition for termination of pregnancy if the fetus has so-called fatal defects.
The deputy prime minister pointed out that such an idea would make young voters, especially young women, look “friendlier” at PiS, replying that “such a line” has been adopted by many centrist and centre-right parties in the West.
This line led to the changes we have in Europe today, and they certainly don’t serve it
– he said.
We really have textbook examples of a crisis of civilization and a crisis leading to collapse. I would really like things to happen in Poland in a similar way. We are fighting for this and we hope – because there is also a movement in this direction in the West – that this trend, a disastrous one, will be reversed
– rated the president of PiS.
“Any increase in the opposition’s ratings is a challenge for us”
Any rise in the opposition’s ratings is a challenge to us; but they are marching and we are solving specific problems, Jarosław Kaczyński, deputy prime minister and president of PiS, said on RMF FM radio on Saturday. We will propose a certain perspective for Poland, which will be important for a large part of society – he added.
The deputy prime minister, the president of PiS, was asked on RMF FM radio if he felt the breath of the opposition on his back, because after the march on June 4, the opposition clearly gained strength, also gained confidence and wind in the sails, which also showed in the polls. In this context, Kaczyński was asked if it was a big challenge for him.
Any increase in the opposition’s ratings – and we are not in the habit of denying the facts – is a challenge to us. But they’re marching on, and we’re solving specific problems while proposing new, far-reaching solutions
– replied the president of PiS.
We will also propose a certain perspective for Poland, which – I think – will be important at least for a large part of society
– added the Deputy Prime Minister.
As he explained, “it’s about something that – at least for the younger and middle generation – can be very important.”
The one I belong to probably won’t see it again, at least not in the finals. This is something that every Polish patriot, every person who has any connection with Poland, should wish for
he stressed.
