A Pakistani man who is a roommate of a 32-year-old Bangladeshi man suspected of murdering a Polish woman in Kos has changed his testimony. He claims that when he returned home he found some in them, the Greek portal Proto Thema reveals.
The Pakistani changes his testimony
Initially, the man claimed that when he returned home on Monday, June 12 at 10:10 p.m., met neither housemate nor Anastasia.
However, the CCTV footage recorded them entering the house at 8:38 p.m., so the girl’s drama would last 92 minutes
the portal points it out.
On Wednesday, the Pakistani man said he came home and found his roommate and girlfriend drinking beer. Then at approx 23 he heard them leave on a motorbike.
Initially, the Pakistani man claimed that the Bangladeshi man would return home dirty and with muddy shoes on Tuesday morning. As the media writes, on Wednesday he did not mention whether he met his roommate after his return, but only twice – around 1 and 2 am – he woke up and he was not there yet.
The police do not rule out that the Pakistani initially tried to hide his Bangladeshi housemate out of fear.
The police are continuing their investigation
On Wednesday, the main suspect denied the allegations during a hearing in a court on Kos. According to media reports, he would also change his initial testimony and deny having sexual intercourse with the victim.
As a result, the suspect has been taken back into custody and the police are continuing the investigation, pending the results of the DNA test.
Anastasia’s disappearance and death
Anastasia disappeared on Monday, June 12 on the Greek island of Kos, where she worked in one of the hotels. On Sunday, Greek media reported that the body of a 27-year-old Polish woman had been found. The body was found around noon. 19 local time, about a kilometer from the home of the Bangladeshi man previously detained by police and 500 meters from where the Polish woman’s mobile phone was found on Saturday.
An autopsy of a Polish woman performed Monday evening on the island of Rhodes confirmed death by asphyxia. However, doctors emphasized that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, which made the examinations much more difficult.
