“There was a password – Ryszard, if you are that tough, start in a difficult circle. I’m the one who says okay,” Ryszard Petru said on Radio ZET, responding to the words of Civic Coalition club head Borys Budka.
Petru wants to fight for the Senate
Let’s not forget that the former head of Nowoczesna announced a few days ago that he would run for the senator’s seat. Petru announced that he would “run for the Senate of the Republic of Poland from District 43 in Warsaw, which includes the districts of Mokotów, Wilanów, Ursynów and Wawer” from his own committee. This decision not only pleased the current head of Nowoczesna Adam Szłapka, but also Borys Budka.
Unfortunately this is very unnecessary, because Ryszard stands up and says that I choose the best district in Wilanów, because I live here and should be a senator. If you want to fight, PiS guys, go to Podkarpacie, to places where strong people are really needed. Rysiek is strong, Romek is strong so they can actually fight there and it would be much easier to make a +Senate pact+ in places like that and not take out the best districts
said Budka a few days ago.

Peter takes up the gauntlet
The former Member of Parliament on Radio ZET was asked about Budka’s words. Petru replied that he was ready to leave from the “more difficult circle”.
I will be very happy to run, I am not afraid of PiS. I’m willing to join the Senate pact in a tough constituency, where PiS usually won, go ahead
said Richard Peter.
Commenting that no one wants him in the Senate Pact, Petru replied:
We will not talk about board games, they are irrelevant. However, the talks are still ongoing, the Senate Pact is being formed.
The Senate pact is in the making, so he would advise everyone to refrain from commenting, because the pact is being made, it’s not an easy conversation, because there are multiple parties, one hundred seats to fill. It’s also about maximizing your score
– he said.
I believe I am strengthening the Senate pact
– added.
Debate with Mentzen
In an interview with Beata Lubecka, Petru said that the ratings of the Confederation are “underrated”.
Democracy is about pointing out where the danger is. I believe the Confederacy’s ratings increase was understated. I emphasize. I believe that the lack of a free market offer, other than the one currently dominant in the opposition, ie opposition to 800+ for all, I propose an income criterion, such a vote is needed. Some of these Confederate proposals are totally unrealistic. I am for a tax cut, simplification of the rules, but not in the formula of a totally free American, which is not realistic to implement
said Peter.
The former MP added that he was ready to engage in a debate with Sławomir Mentzen.
I am prepared to enter into a debate with Mr Mentzen. Let’s see whose ideas about the free market are real and who are not. A question for the Confederacy, are they for the privatization of companies like ORLEN, or are they for the liquidation of TVP? I would like to know, and I am open to such a debate. Unfortunately, if there is no voice like mine on the opposition side, part of the liberal electorate will vote for the Confederacy.
he warned.
