Chechnya President Ramzan Kadyrov telegraph channel reported that in the Shalinsky and Kurchaloevsky districts of the republic, a large number of residences and basements were flooded due to heavy and prolonged downpours.
“Five residences and 24 basements were flooded in the Shali district of the Chechen Republic,” he wrote.
Kadyrov explained that five private residences in the Kurchaloy district were affected by the downpour.
“There are no residents of the Chechen Republic who were injured during the attack of the elements,” said the head of the region.
Kadyrov added that rescue teams are working with emergency services to evacuate the waters and eliminate the consequences of the flood. He called on the people of the region to immediately notify the regional directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in case of danger and not to panic.

“I urge the people of the Chechen Republic to take maximum security measures in case of storm warning,” said Kadyrov.
