We expect the SCAAI and the Civil Aviation Authority to investigate the case of a plane carrying a banner that flew over Warsaw on June 4, when the opposition march took place, KO deputies said on Wednesday. The aircraft, they said, was not authorized to perform such a flight.
Will they want to put a man in jail?
– writes government spokesman Piotr Müller on Twitter, referring to the words of KO MPs.
On Sunday, June 4, the anniversary of the partially free elections in 1989, an opposition march took place in Warsaw, organized by the Civic Platform and its leader, Donald Tusk. A small plane flew over the meeting, trailing a banner that read, “To Berlin.”

“It was a PiS provocation
As Joński said at a press conference on Wednesday, “there was a certain provocation during the June 4 march.”
This provocation was an airborne incident. An airplane appeared, dragging a banner to provoke those who took part in this march
said the MP.
According to him, “it was a PiS provocation,” and the author was a Mielec PiS council member, who leased the plane.
He rented this plane to later hang a banner in Konstancin-Jeziorna, which was supposed to provoke laughing people. Fortunately, this provocation failed
Jonski said.
Maciej Lasek added that according to aviation regulations you are allowed to fly above Warsaw at an altitude of more than 2000 metres. The exceptions are arrival and departure procedures from Chopin Airport and Babice Airport.
Meanwhile, the plane carrying the banner flew above Warsaw along the Vistula River at an altitude of 500-600 meters and did not take off or land at Babice or Chopin airports, the KO MP said.
This flight, which took place on June 4, was in clear violation of air traffic regulations
Lasek noted.
He pointed out that under Art. 212 of the Aviation Act, such violation of aviation regulations is punishable by imprisonment for up to 5 years.
Therefore, we are requesting that this incident and all circumstances be investigated by the State Aircraft Accident Investigation Commission, and we are also notifying the President of the Civil Aviation Authority to clarify whether the pilot was fully qualified. We also do not rule out reporting to the public prosecutor’s office
Lasek said.
It is necessary to put an end to this lawlessness in the sky once and for all, because what we have been dealing with lately raises great doubts
Jonski said.
We will explain this matter to the end
– added.
“Do they want to put a man in jail?”
Government spokesman Piotr Müller wrote about this on Twitter:
Mr. Donald Tusk did not like the inscription +to Berlin+. Will they want to put a man in jail?
