South Korea’s Ministry of Defense protested the embassies of China and Russia over the joint flight of the aviation of the two countries in the identity zone of the South Korean air defense. It has been reported TASS with reference to departments.
According to the agency, Moscow and Beijing did not inform Seoul about the joint exercises.
“The Ministry expressed regret that Chinese and Russian military aircraft entered the air defense identification area without prior notice and flew in a sensitive area close to the airspace of the Republic of Korea,” the ministry said.
The ministry added that they asked Moscow and Beijing to take appropriate measures to avoid similar situations in the future, adding that such actions could lead to tensions in the region.
