We need a programmatic basis for the future government, which will be formed by representatives of the democratic opposition, Grzegorz Schetyna, former head of the PO, said on Radio Wrocław. “This is the Czech variant that we put on separate lists, but we promise that we will form a joint government,” he added.
“It’s about the foundation, such a programmatic foundation”
On Tuesday, the PO MP on Radio Wrocław referred to the words of New Left leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty, who previously ruled in an interview with PAP that “the next step after the June 4 march should be the signing of a pact. on the cooperation of the opposition after the elections.”
However, it is necessary, as I understand this statement by Marshal Czarzasty, that it is about the basis, such a programmatic foundation of the future government, which will be formed by representatives of the democratic opposition
Schetyna said.
As he stressed, the signing of the “program foundation of the future government” could take place before the date of parliamentary elections is announced.
This is such a good time to say yes. This is such a statement. This is the Czech variant that we are on separate lists, but we are committing to form a joint government. Signing this agreement is our promise that we will do it after the victorious election. This is what happened in the Czech Republic and I think it will also happen in Poland
Schetyna noted.
Petru and Giertych “outside the Senate Pact”
When asked about the assessment of Roman Giertych and Ryszard Petru’s statement to run for Senate, the politician said they are “outside the Senate pact”.
These statements were directly or wholly direct from Mr. Ryszard Petru that he was outside the Senate Pact. It would be wrong for such well-known people with a history in Polish politics to oppose the Senate Pact candidates. It means we are poorly organized. This sends a bad signal to voters. I believe it is worth doing a lot to avoid such a scenario
Schetyna said.
The PO MP was also asked if Petru and Giertych “should be part of the Senate Pact”.
This is a battle for 65-70 Senate constituencies, which are split between the currently-functioning senators and those joining to improve the election result. So I think there are places that can be offered to people not directly from the Senate pact, but to those who declare cooperation with the Senate Majority after the election
Schetyna said.
However, he stipulated that conversations on this topic should not take place in the media, but “in the privacy of political offices”.
That’s what politics is about
– added.
“Let there be a hammer on the opposition
The former chairman of the Civic Platform also referred to the law establishing a verification committee to investigate Russian influence.
The problem is that, in my view, the issue is to approve the report on the committee’s activities on 17 September, because that too is a legal provision. Let there be a hammer for the opposition to attack the opposition and its leaders, Donald Tusk or Waldemar Pawlak, or other ministers from the Civic Platform and PSL governments less than a month before the election. only U.S
he said.
I believe they will do everything they can to get this committee moving. But Kaczyński has a really big problem, because they haven’t prepared, they haven’t talked, they haven’t settled with the president. The president signed it first, but now he is withdrawing from this decree. Shame and disgrace. That’s all I can call these activities of PiS and the president
– rated the interlocutor of Radio Wrocław.
According to Grzegorz Schetyna, President Andrzej Duda’s latest move is “embarrassment and shame”.
First, President Duda signs this law, sends it to the Constitutional Tribunal, and after 4 days, he starts amending it and sends the amendment to the Sejm, as if he had not read this law. Without introducing the procedure yet, because this law is not being worked on. It’s just absurd
said the politician.
Why didn’t Kosiniak-Kamysz and Hołownia speak on the march?
Why couldn’t Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia speak during the June 4 march?
Don’t know. I just heard them say they weren’t coming in. It was very difficult to communicate
– rated the interlocutor of Radio Wrocław.
If someone was not at the beginning of this march, as if he were before the beginning of this march, he had no chance to reach him
– added.
It is important that they were. These were all the leaders of the democratic opposition. That we were together on this march. It is very symbolic and necessary
Schetyna noted.
According to the former PO leader, the march should be a signal for the opposition “to mobilize more, cooperate and be more effective”.
