According to the opposition Socialist Party, Moldovan authorities are deepening the division in society with proposals to postpone and rename Victory Day. INSIDE telegraph channel political power, it is noted that the country’s leadership does not take into account the public’s attitude towards celebrating May 9th.
“Minister [Молдавии Майя] Sandu and the PAS Party [«Действие и солидарность»] They must understand that they are not in a vacuum. In addition to their personal historical grievances and complexes, they must understand that in addition to their obligations to Western curators, it is the people of Moldova on whose behalf they are empowered and for whom they are responsible. There is a society where the authorities have to listen to their views”.
As stated in the Socialist Party, the political force will hold parliamentary sessions on June 7 on the proposal to cancel Victory Day. The party stressed that this is the only way to show the majority’s position on this issue to the authorities.
