As long as we are responsible for the Polish state, the Polish family will always be our focus; the family is a real, best investment in the future – emphasized Elżbieta Witek, Marshal of the Sejm, during a family picnic in Sulejówek on Saturday.
I am a mother and grandmother myself. Family has always been very important to me. It is the place where you can learn everything. The family is a place that transmits very important values to children. The family is our refuge and refuge
– noted the Marshal of the Sejm.
That is why, from 2015, the family is and will be the center of attention for our government. By family we mean parents, children, but also grandparents. We hope that the funds from social programs that we send to the state are funds that help you. We wanted kids to be able to develop their passions and interests, so you could send them summer and winter summer and winter camps, but also you could go on a weekend vacation
Elżbieta Witek asked the participants of the picnic.
Seniors deserve great respect, memory and gratitude, but also care from the state, because it was the seniors of today who built our country. They taught us, took care of Poland and made it out of a very difficult situation. As a government, we also target our programs at seniors. We restored the old retirement age and gave Poles the right to choose. It is also the thirteenth and fourteenth pension and indexation. When we have the opportunity to meet people, we discover what else we can do
– the Marshal of the Sejm recalled.
When I talk to my parents they say that this money really helps you a lot and we are very happy with it and we will not let it down. It’s not a “giveaway” as we often hear. This is the real, best investment in the future, because the kids who are here are our future, and in a decade or so they’ll be playing our parts. Our future will depend on what we adults give them today
she pointed it out.
We guarantee that as long as we are responsible for the Polish state, the Polish family will always be at the center of our attention. It’s not just the flagship “500 Plus” program or a school starter kit. Today we want to empower parents, especially moms, to safely return to work if they want to. We give parents the choice, if mom or dad wants to raise a child, we extend the maternity leave. We give the opportunity to combine professional work with raising children
– assured Marshal Witek.
There are still places in Poland where there are no nurseries and kindergartens. We promise they will come. Today, even small rural communities have day care centers and parents can take paid work
she stressed.
Threats on the Internet
The Marshal of the Sejm warned of the dangers lurking for children on the Internet.
We all use the internet, it’s a blessing, it makes our lives much easier, but on the internet, people are anonymous, we often come across content and images that terrify us. Our children are also exposed to this content, these images
observed Witek.
She appealed to children not to be led into hatred and violence.
Protect yourself from it, don’t carry it with you. Respect each other
she called.
It’s worth having real colleagues, real friends, not the ones on the phone, online, but the ones you can meet in person
she argued.
Elżbieta Witek added that parents also need support, because they are busy with work and often do not know what content their children come across on the Internet, what they do after school. She encouraged people to sign the “Let’s protect children, let’s support parents” bill.
