Under the motto “Sovereignty”, the 13th edition of the Polska Wielki Projekt Congress will be held at Arkady Kubicki in Warsaw. Saturday is the second day of interesting discussions. We invite you to follow the relationship!
“A Just Peace – Reparations, Reparations, Reconciliation”
An extremely important topic, the subject of reparations. I think it moves Poland, provokes discussions in our country. Our opponents will sometimes ask why talk about reparations. This was a subject that was carefully overlooked in Poland for many years. Some also say that we should forget the past or at least he believes it is somehow closed, redemption has been made
– said the moderator of this panel at the beginning Prof. Zdzislaw Krasnodębski.
It was no coincidence that we invited delegations from two countries that seem to have the same problems, namely we have colleagues from Greece and colleagues from Namibia
– added.
As he emphasized, it talks about the crimes of the “Nazis”, not the Germans.
National Socialism and the Third Reich are increasingly regarded as such exceptions in German history. (…) The example of two Namibian tribes demonstrates this genocide [niemieckie – red.] happened before
– he said, calling it a “prologue” to crimes committed in Poland during World War II.
David Hanschief of the Nama tribe (Namibia), vice president of the Association of Traditional Nama Tribe Leaders, thanked for the invitation to the Polska Wielki Projekt Congress and for being able to speak in his own language.
Many decades ago, the Herero and Nam lived peacefully in what is now Namibia and Botswana. Then came the Germans who robbed us of life and land. But we didn’t give up, we started to resist. Then the destruction order was issued
said the Namibian chief.
As a result of the extermination, many of our brothers and sisters have fled the country and are now a diaspora living in South Africa. We’ve lost a lot. Once our people were rich, now we are poor. Yet we continue to fight for reparations, we fight to reclaim our land and also to regain our dignity
he stressed.
“Made in Poland – Polish success abroad”
The theory and practice of the internationalization process of enterprises say that foreign expansion begins to take place faster in smaller countries, because the internal market is smaller. We have many examples of such companies in our region
– said Witold Wiliński, GPW Tech SA
In the global economy, we are experiencing a paradigm shift – from liberal to conservative, self-interested
– added.
Interestingly, this change started in the US, which some time ago introduced rules that allow the blocking of certain foreign investments, often applied to Chinese companies
– he said.
It was the Poles who built sugar factories and energy blocks in Greece. Greece was the first European country to recognize sovereign, independent Poland in the interwar period, as Józef Piłsudski was the first to visit newly established Greece
– pointed to Jerzy Athanasiadis.
Today, the Polish state’s approach to expanding expansion is very professional. Through institutions that support the activities of Polish businessmen, Poles have managed to invest, for example, in the Greek tourism sector
– added.
If we look at Japan, which rebuilt itself after the war and began to expand rapidly abroad in the 1970s, we see that there is room for catching up. But you need to have a strategy to catch up with those who are already in a strong position
Wilinski said.
Speech by Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin
Claims, also very popular in Poland, because we have very strong liberal trends among our political competitors, have been brutally verified. (…) The state has a big role to play, and the state must have instruments, and these instruments are state-owned enterprises
– said the head of the MAP.
Energy is today the weapon of the 21st century. This was the case, for example, when we organized a great campaign to bring coal for the winter
noted the deputy prime minister.
State treasury corporations are also the largest contributors to the state budget when it comes to the economic sphere. (…) When we think of investing abroad, we all think – especially Orlen
– he continued, emphasizing that the company is “strongly embedded” in the region and Europe. He pointed out that in the Czech Republic Orlen is actually treated as “the essence of the Polish presence, the strength of the Polish state”.
Without Orlen it is impossible to build energy security in the region. The presence of this company also builds our political position as a leader of this region, which has common experiences, threats and often visions of future development.
– said Jacek Sasin.
But other companies are also reaching out to European markets, to global markets, with increasing boldness. KGHM is another example of a Polish champion
– added.
I think nowadays hardly anyone in Poland knows that KGHM, a Polish company, a Polish state-owned company, owns two mines in the United States
– said the head of MAP, also referring to investments in Canada and a mine in Chile.
