He called the climacik well on the opposition side red. Wojciech Biedron in the lyrics “Do you remember the agent who attacked Olszewski’s government? Today you can smell the same smell in the living room of the Third Republic of Poland. Tusk trapped in his own biography.
It is surprising how many of the same actors, playing the same roles, appear in that and the current production. I can’t wait to see which of the poets will complete the assignment and write a poem titled “Hate”, increasing the chances of winning the Nobel Prize in Literature. They are democrats after all – the higher they were in the communist party, the more sincere they were. And the Polish independence camp – freaks and even worse. The form is known, repeated for years and must be fulfilled.
That’s how you should read The Trickster’s March.
However, the dates of June 4, 1992 and June 4, 2023 have much more in common than frames. The key is to reject three key values.
Rejection of the will of the voterswhose decision must be overturned at all costs, whether in dark offices, with compulsory recordings for future blackmail, or on the street. Because on June 4, 1992, the will was rejected by the Poles who wanted to leave communism, build a new state and not powder a communist corpse. Who treated June 4, 1989 as an opportunity, not an inviolable contract with the post-communists who took over economic and media domination. This formula has been used by the total opposition since 2015. Elections? Democracy? This only applies when they are in power.
Rejection of the Legacy of “Solidarity”who fought for a just, fair, solidary, Polish Poland, respectful of national identity, not cruel to the weak, croaking to the victims of liquidated workshops and state farms, connected to the hideous kingdom of Urban. Today, a similar program can be discerned in many statements by politicians and opposition advisers: tightening the screws of a society that has turned upside down, the sale and liquidation of all that remains, forced cultural re-education in the neo-Marxist spirit.
Rejection of the primacy of independencewhich remains a sacred, supreme, non-negotiable value. Wałęsa is ready to install Russian bases in Poland, Tusk is ready to sell Lotos and other strategic ventures to the Russians. The platform that collapses the state, including the Polish army, is one and the same line.
Poland is again at the crossroads. Without the maximum effort of the entire pro-Polish camp, without full unity, things can go as badly as in 1992. But it doesn’t have to. Over the past eight years, good governments, winning election campaigns and successful resistance to coups and provocations have shown that there is no determinism here. Good self-organization, wisdom and unity make it possible to eliminate the structural advantage of the post-communist platform camper camp.
Therefore, it is worth recalling the “night shift”, and especially its terrible consequences for the Polish state and society. It is a warning to which a lack of unity and a moment of inattention can lead.
