The ruling Georgian Dream – Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, secretary general of the Democratic Georgia party, will take decisions that meet the common European interests only after European integration is complete, Georgian Channel One reported. According to him, this also applies to the question of the relevance of air communications with Russia.
“Georgia is not yet a member of the EU. Once we have the status and become a member of the European Union, we will of course make decisions that meet the common interests,” Kaladze said.
As the Secretary General of the Georgian Dream pointed out, at present Georgia is an independent and sovereign country and is only striving to join the European Union. He also added that the state wants European integration but will not impose sanctions on Russia.
