Kosovo Serbs are regrouping near the municipality of Zvecan, in the north of the region, on 30 May, after riots the previous day. This is reported by the Kosovo portal. online.
It was noted that hundreds of people came to the administration building and their numbers increased. Journalists write that the soldiers of the Polish contingent of NATO KFOR formed a cordon, building a fence 50 meters from the town hall.
NATO fighters, as the previous day, were equipped with shields and means to disperse demonstrations. Kosovo police special forces in armored vehicles are stationed outside the KFOR cordon, the portal reported.
On May 29, thousands of Kosovo Serbs gathered in front of local government buildings in the north of the province to demand the withdrawal of the police and the recall of Kosovo Albanian mayors. NATO troops were sent to the buildings of the municipalities of KFOR, Zvechan, Leposavich and Zubin Potok. A large Kosovo police force followed, keeping Kosovo Serbs out of the buildings. At around 17:00 (18:00 Moscow time), clashes broke out between the citizens and the security forces.
