He ran with Izquierda Independiente in the Madrid town of San Sebastián de los Reyes, where he lived, and elected Íñigo Errejón six years ago.

Did the election result eliminate the desire to laugh?

Not at all. When you don’t like something very much, it’s a good idea to respond with a good mood and a dose of humor to try to get over the situation and experience it in the best possible way. Using your sense of humor is a way to be flexible, rely on, and deal with frustration and sadness much better, often leading to action filled with pain or direct inaction.

Does it give the remaining time to unite? 23J?

I think so, and certainly desirable. Separation has historically driven the left, and this has always caused confusion and grief. It would be better to correct small differences and walk together. It’s good to have different perspectives because they enrich politics, but when you see things go wrong separately, common sense says you need to come to an agreement right away and go to the election together.

What do you think of the unexpected preview? Pedro Sanchez?

Although there is no time to analyze and reflect, it seems that the call for a snap election is about taking advantage of the impact when you put your knee on the canvas and immediately stand up. As much as possible to show that you still have the capacity to react. Now left voters are scared, and this ad might encourage them to say, “I won’t fail at 23J.” It calls on voters and those with political responsibility on the left to take action. While I was thinking, “If they don’t want us to continue, the citizens should decide as soon as possible”, this seems like a very right decision and a very healthy gesture to me.

How will it spread? vox in institutions?

To say it would be fatal would be too bold. I hope not, but we’ll have to wait and see what decisions they make. They already have a few autonomy and although a margin of confidence should be left, the situation is not rosy.

He starred in the radio series Brian’s lifegoes back to the present day as they suggested removing the scene of Loretta in the London theatrical adaptation. Are you afraid of what will happen here?

The ideological revolution against conservatism is spreading to many countries, and you know when you see your neighbor’s beard cut. Politically correct speech is censorship, so as not to hurt anyone’s sensibilities, with or without humor. If you are afraid that what you want to say will offend someone, you will eventually sweeten the message and there is no point in starting to create. Freedom of expression is the most important thing. No matter where the attack comes from, it must be defended every hour of every day.

“In My Sauce”

the river of poetry He combines his two passions, humor and poetry. Is it the perfect show?

I’m in my sauce. This idea arose out of a demand from the public, as the audience laughed a lot at the witty poems and asked for more in his poetry and music concerts with Luis Santana. We look for others and find funny poems on a variety of subjects, although there is much to discover. Poetry is often associated with something academic, serious, sublime, but the sublimation produced by humor suits it well.

Mediterrenian and others songs they are not funny.

Some, like this one, refer to places we’ve visited. It also has a beautiful poetic component and can even cause a smile. Others who can evoke a nostalgic smile in love…

There is a poem dedicated to farts, how fun they are for kids. We adults blush.

That’s why it’s so nice to talk about them and tell everyone what happened to them. The poem is by Quevedo. We like to demystify the idea that poetry only deals with very high topics like love and tragic issues like illness and death.

Whenever he can, he returns to the clown who introduced him. What does this humor teach us?

He’s always been with me not only because he’s a character I have fun with and I want people to have fun as I do, but also because it helps me think. His figure contains a great philosophy. It is part of the world of creativity, of vulnerability, it represents the somehow excluded, the different. They are odd in their dress and gestures, often do not know how to speak well, apparently lack the intelligence we value; And although they don’t hide it, they don’t stop failing, quite the opposite because people have fun with it and turn it into a party. It’s about having a sense of humor, getting up, being able to start over with energy despite the circumstances. I am human, I make mistakes, mistakes are a part of my life and they will definitely help me learn and grow.

He’s a versatile actor, but humor is where he feels most comfortable. What do other genres add to you?

Variation. Actors have always been characterized by geographic transcendence for representations and intrinsic or psychological transcendence regarding the characters you play. They let you go on a journey from being yourself to being Hamlet, Napoleon or whoever you can get your hands on. You have to put yourself in his shoes, understand him and, of course, defend him to the end, even if it has nothing to do with you or your ideas. It is an emotional journey that motivates us a lot, especially as they are different characters. They give me a sense of mobility, picking up the dust that can fall on me if I’m always in the same interpretive place.

Also more empathy?

Certainly. You learn not to be dogmatic, you understand that there are many points of view on everything that are as respectable as yours, and you become more open to those who do not agree with you.
