The publication draws attention to the fact that the opening decision was taken within the framework of the negotiations between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
According to Paltov, the opening of the consulate will take place in a simplified and accelerated mode.
“It was decided to send people there so that they could start working there and not only contribute to the maintenance of Armenian-Russian friendship,” the diplomat said.
Earlier, Pashinyan, at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. declarationArmenia and Azerbaijan agreed on mutual recognition of each other’s territorial integrity. On this basis, he noted that the parties have made good progress in establishing bilateral relations.
Pashinyan also expects a “normal constructive dialogue between Baku and Stepanakert” to begin in the near future.
