The Civic Platform, which voted against the establishment of the Russian Influence Commission, continues to insist that this is an undemocratic idea to ban Donald Tusk from politics. “This is an act that has been mentally taken from the Kremlin, when it comes to its construction, it touches on totalitarian systems,” PO General Secretary Marcin Kierwiński argued in an interview with RMF FM.
“He cannot subscribe to an account directly from Stalinist Russia.”
I am convinced that PiS will die from this political baton he created himself. I think President Duda will think very carefully about signing this bill
– said the KO MP in an interview with Krzysztof Ziemiec.
If he wants to pursue an international career, he cannot directly sign a bill from Stalinist Russia
– added.
According to Marcin Kierwiński, the president would “definitely throw this law in the trash” if he applied Polish law and the constitution.
PO’s general secretary also threatened the president that if he signed the law on the investigation of Russian influence, he would be “responsible for violating the Polish constitution” after the opposition took power.
The list of the president’s sins is very long. This law, which by name is supposed to investigate Russian influence in Poland, is one that appears to be written in Cyrillic. This is a law that is mentally borrowed from the Kremlin, when it comes to its construction, it touches on totalitarian systems
he said.
Will Tusk appear before the committee?
The PO politician argued that the sole purpose of setting up such a committee was to combat the political opponents of the current cabinet.
If PiS wants to explain the intricacies, let them set up such a committee on Nowogrodzka Street and invite Kaczyński, Jasiński, Macierewicz and let them explain
he said.
It is around PiS policy that there are many doubts about how strong these Russian traces are. How are we going to see how they made Poland dependent on Russian coal. How are we going to see how they destroyed the Polish special services?
– claimed the secretary-general of the party, under whose rule the scandalous contract with Gazprom was signed, and which, towards Putin’s Russia, pursued a wrong and, at best, naive policy.
Will the leader of the PO face the verification committee? MP Kierwiński pointed out that it would be Donald Tusk’s decision.
I know that Donald Tusk is a man who likes to expose the badness of PiS. I don’t know and I don’t want to speculate because it will be Donald Tusk’s decision. However, I know when PiS tries to punch Donald Tusk it always somehow turns out they hit themselves on the head
he argued.
I remember Donald Tusk on one of the investigative committees where he was just, as young people say these days, running over those PiS pseudo-inquisitors with a roller
Kervinsky crowed with joy over his director.

It is understandable that Civic Platform is hurting, that it has been pursuing a wrong and naive policy towards Putin’s Russia for years, and that PiS has been warning for years about the imperialist tendencies of the Russian satrap. It turned out that “Russophobic” Kaczyński was right, not “open” Tusk. But how little seriously should the PO treat its supporters’ intelligence, since with such huge help from Poland to Ukraine, it convinces them that the current government is pro-Russian.
