New Left vice president Krzysztof Śmiszek left no doubt as to which way his party wants to go. He openly announced the equating of same-sex “marriages” with what he described as “traditional” and the possibility of adopting children by LGBT people.
“The current structure of marriage
When asked if the left plans to introduce the option of adopting children by same-sex couples, Śmiszek replied:
Absolutely yes, because when we talk about marriage equality, then the full rights of opposite-sex marriages should be attributed to same-sex marriage.
Both duties and duties, the same rights as in the current structure of marriage
– he stressed, apparently forgetting that there is no “old” construction, unless the constitution, which the opposition supposedly so defends, is changed. It clearly defines marriage as “the union of a man and a woman”.
When asked if he was considering adopting a child of his own, he replied that “he thought about it sometimes”.
In any case, it should be remembered that under the current regulations, a single person can apply for the adoption of a child. I believe that anyone who is able to give love, security and warmth to a child should have the right to share this love and parenting
he stressed.
When I look at the many thousands of children left in Poland without parental care, whether in foster care or orphanages, I just think this is a wasted potential of the love that LGBT people can give to Polish children. And yet this love has been rationed and I think it’s just not fair
he argued.
Partnerships and marriages
Three years ago we introduced a bill that would equate same-sex and bi-sex marriages, ie this traditionally conceived marriage will also be extended to include the possibility of marrying two people of the same sex.
continued the Deputy Chief of the Left.
And we also want to legislate such a lighter form of a certain contract between two people, both for same-sex couples and bi-sex couples, ie a registered partnership
he pointed it out.
The left says unequivocally today: we are for freedom. You do not want to get married, and you want to have your life legalized in some way, then you can enter into a registered partnership
he stressed.
Are there really no more important issues in Poland than LGBT “marriage” and child adoption?
