White House ready to welcome South Africa’s peace plan if it fits Zelensky’s vision

The White House said the United States would be ready to welcome the peacekeeping mission of a group of African nations led by South Africa if its proposals gain Ukraine’s support and are based on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s approaches to resolving the conflict. It has been reported DEA News.

According to John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator for the United States National Security Council, Washington will support any third-party peace proposal that is credible, viable, and sustainable.

“This requires the support of President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine. Kirby said that without Ukraine there is nothing about Ukraine.

He stressed that any US-backed peace plan should begin with United Nations principles and “contain at least one reference” to Zelenskiy’s ten settlements.

Stephane Dujarric, Former Representative of the UN Secretary-General declaration during the briefing that the organization supports all peace initiatives with regard to Ukraine, including those presented by South Africa, that comply with its Charter, international law and resolutions of the General Assembly.
