Turkey’s current President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced on social networks the start of a campaign ahead of the second round of the presidential election.

Earlier, the Supreme Election Commission of Türkiye had officially announced it on May 28. it will include second round of presidential elections.
Commission President Ahmet Yener said at the press conference that no candidate received 50 percent of the votes, and according to the current situation, he decided for the second round of the Presidential elections on Sunday, 28 May. He added that this would be a first in the history of Türkiye. According to Yener, as of 15:15 (Moscow time), Erdoğan received 49.51% of the vote, Kılıçdaroğlu 44.88%, and Ogan 5.17%. He noted that the results of more than 35 thousand foreign votes have not yet been calculated.
