It seemed that the president of Bialystok, Tadeusz Truskolaski, had already reached the bottom by passing on the mention of an Internet troll, mocking the attitude of journalists – Michał Kolanka, Piotr Semka and Tomasz Sakiewicz, but the politician decided to dig further…
A mockery, not an apology
Truskolaski has removed his entry, but his translations are a clear mockery of voters’ intelligence. The president claims he used the term “heavyweight” to emphasize the “importance” of journalists who appeared in the internet troll’s entry.

I deleted the tweet because it was misunderstood, in Polish the term “heavyweight” is also used as a metaphor indicating the importance of a particular issue or person and was used in this context. If anyone took that literally, my apologies
Truskolaski tried to explain.
“You must be able to apologize. Lord can’t”
Truskolaski’s translation is so absurd that it’s not surprising that Twitter users reacted to it. Including politicians.
If you do not know how to use the Polish language, do not pick up on the contexts or other meanings of the expression used – it is better to just keep silent.
You can’t explain it more childishly. Do you think twitterers are naive fools?
The trait I absolutely hate in politicians – completely irrelevant to their party membership – is making people stupid. Do you take people for idiots when you tell them that the term ‘heavyweight’, which summarizes the photos of three overweight journalists, was only used metaphorically? No question mark, because it is clear.
Just when you think Mr. Truskolaski will have a hard time surpassing his recent twitter performance, a few hours later he decides to embarrass the doubters…
Not true. You removed it because even your constituents are not as primitive as you, who constantly feed them this disgusting hatred instead of a replacement for the program. You expected more applause from the herd, but it didn’t pop. That’s why you removed it.
You must be able to apologize. Lord can’t.
Tadeusz, this is the top of the most embarrassing translations I’ve ever seen.
Dude, at least admit you’re a bungler and take responsibility, don’t pretend you’re a Greek now.
When it seemed like the original entry was the pinnacle of embarrassment, and you wade into an even worse story, it’s a top-level journey. I warmly congratulate you.
Mr President, unfortunately both you and some of your associates have repeatedly insulted or ridiculed political opponents on the internet, so yet another such message was received by all – no wonder.
