The Russian-Ukrainian conflict changed the international situation and led to a re-evaluation of the existing world order. Experts will discuss the importance of creating innovative security systems against modern threats at the Vision of Development Forum. The discussion will also be about the future of the Polish army.
Poland was a country that had been paying attention to the threat posed by Russia for years. late President Lech Kaczyński clearly warned against Putin’s actions and plans to move towards Western Europe and expand his influence. We all experience how prophetic those words were. Poland is currently the main diplomatic force supporting Ukraine and determines the strength of NATO’s eastern flank. President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in many international meetings leading to the strengthening of Polish defenses.
The Vision of Development Forum is also a space where the importance of security issues is recognized
– explains Andrzej Michalak, president of the Vision for Development Foundation.
This year’s considerations include: panels entitled “Consequences of Russia’s criminal aggression on the Polish economy”, “The impact of the war in Ukraine on Poland’s heavy industry” and “Is the Polish economy currently strong and resilient against external threats”. Particular economic unrest was the result of the introduction of the embargo on Russian raw materials. Poland had to quickly and efficiently secure new sources of coal, oil and gas supplies. Thanks to lengthy diversification processes, we managed to pass this exam with flying colors
– explains Andrzej Michalak.
During the Vision of Development Forum you can get acquainted with the latest news from the security sector and the views of economists on the impact of military operations on the economy. A strong state protects the economy, which translates into better economic conditions and stable trade growth. The panelists will familiarize conference participants with these dependencies and thoroughly discuss the mechanisms governing contemporary geopolitics.
