WOT spokesman Major Witold Sura told PAP on Sunday evening that the object that flew from Belarus on Friday night has not yet been found. He added that the soldiers returned to the barracks in the evening and further decisions on this matter will be taken on Monday morning.
Observation balloon from the direction of Belarus
On Saturday morning, the Ministry of National Defense announced on Twitter that the Center for Air Operations had noticed the appearance of an object in Polish airspace approaching from Belarus.
According to COP intelligence, it’s probably an observation balloon. Radar contact was lost at Rypin

The air object became known at approx. 01:00 – PAP found out about it unofficially. Operations in the Rypin district were carried out by the WOT search and rescue team from Saturday morning. The soldiers also cooperated in the village of Kipichy in Mazowieckie province.
The search continued on Sunday and the TDF troops were reinforced.
Soldiers of the 8th Kuyavian-Pomeranian Territorial Defense Brigade and the 7th Pomeranian Territorial Defense Brigade participated in the search. We are still entering the subordination of the Armed Forces Operational Command. Just like yesterday, all tasks assigned in the field come from the operational command level

Major Sura added. In the evening, Major Sura told PAP that the search was unsuccessful.
We have not found this object. Dusk fell, so the soldiers returned to the barracks. Further decisions on this will be taken tomorrow morning

RCB warning
In connection with the search for an “air object resembling a balloon”, RCB on Saturday issued a warning for three provinces: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie, so that if such an object is found, do not pick it up, but immediately notify the Police.
