Ukraine has received $20 billion from the EU since February 2022 to support the country’s economic and financial stability. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this at a meeting of government members. He posted a video of the meeting on his Telegram channel.

His message says that the EU has become the main donor for the Ukrainian budget.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko pointed out that since last year, 14 billion dollars and 1.2 billion euros of foreign aid has been withdrawn from the World Bank within the trust fund to finance the budget.

Ukraine’s budget deficit is about $5 billion every month, two-thirds of the budget falls on foreign loans and grants, and three-quarters of budget expenditures fall on the military.
