The fight against so-called climate change is clearly accelerating, especially in Europe. Both the European Parliament and the European Commission do not recognize in this area no compromises. Further solutions are being imposed, which are especially harmful to Poland, whose energy sector is based on coal. The regulations introduced also make it difficult for post-communist countries to catch up with the West. In a broader perspective, ecological zeal leads to the economic degradation of the entire continent, and the growing importance of China, India and other countries hostile to the West.

In your opinion, do the radical policies to combat carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions pose a threat to the economic development of Poland and the entire European Union?
– until 41 percent of the respondents answered in the affirmative.

26 percent has no opinion about it.
He sees the policy to combat carbon dioxide emissions as a threat 67 percent PiS voters, 28 percent KO voters and 34 percent voters of Poland 2050.
According to our research, Poles are divided on this issue, but a very large part of society is already aware of the magnitude of the challenges we face. Both our country and the entire continent. And important questions play out in the background: can climate change be stopped? Are they the result of human activity or also natural cycles? And won’t the price Europe pay for an idealistic vision of leading other continents be too high?

The research was conducted using the CAWI method (Computer Assisted Web Interview) from April 21 to 24, 2023, on an online panel, on a nationwide, representative (in terms of: gender, age, size of residence) sample of Poland . N=1048 people participated in the study.
