Russian cosmonauts go into space for the third time

Russian cosmonauts Sergei Prokopiev and Dmitry Petelin went back to space from the ISS. They did this for the third time during their expedition. Broadcasting Hosted by Roscosmos.

It was noted that astronauts will have to transfer the airlock necessary for the experiments to the Science module.

They opened the exit hatch of the Poisk Small Research Module at 11:01 Moscow time. Prokopyev and Petelin are scheduled to spend 6 hours and 22 minutes outside the International Space Station.

First, the astronauts will disconnect the communication cables between the lock room and the Rassvet module it is currently on. After that, they will remove the cover of the screen vacuum thermal insulation from the docking unit. After that, Prokopiev and Petelin will have to unscrew the protective cover from the passive stabilization device UFP-4 and the case from its target in the airlock, as well as open the locks connecting the camera to the Rassvet module.

They will move the airlock to another module using ERA’s European remote arm. It will be controlled from inside the ISS by the third Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. Prokopiev and Petelin will follow this process. After docking, they will connect the wires between the airlock and the Science module.

It was previously known that the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft. relocated From the Poisk probe module of the International Space Station (ISS) to the Prichal node module.
