Janusz Cieszyński responded to Donald Tusk’s suggestions. The leader of the PO suggested that the minister of digitization may be trying to manipulate the parliamentary elections.
Tusk’s suggestion was made at a meeting with voters.
We will not capitulate. And the more you are at these rallies, the more you will be on June 4, the more we will be on Election Day, at the polls, the harder it will be for Cieszyn, Morawiecki, Kaczyński to falsify or steal democratic elections in Poland
Tusk said.
The words of the PO leader are surprisingly consistent with the content of Wojciech Czuchnowski’s article, which appeared in “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

Cieszyński’s reaction
Janusz Cieszyński referenced Tusk’s words on Twitter. The Minister of Digitization also explains what the Central Electoral Register is, which Czuchnowski writes about.
Donald Tusk suggests I try to rig/steal the election. This is a good opportunity to talk about what the Central Electoral Register is. Today, each municipality maintains its own electoral register. It is created based on data from the PESEL register, citizen submissions, disenfranchisement court decisions, etc. Municipalities use different IT systems to handle the counts and sometimes store them on equipment that is not separated from the internet. What does this mean in practice? For example, if such a municipal register were encrypted with ransomware on the eve of the elections (there was such a case), the elections might not take place at all. These and some other problems (e.g. unregistered requests for inclusion in the census via the internet) are solved by CRW. It is worth noting that the need to create such a register has long been reported by the KBW and the PKW. The central register ensures, among other things, full accountability for all operations, it is housed in a secure state infrastructure and functions in a separate network. The Minister of Digitization will not have the right to change the contents of the register – it remains the domain of municipalities and consulates. It is also worth remembering that the CRW is not used to determine the outcome of the election. The register will be used to generate lists of municipalities, which will be sent to polling stations in paper form. If anything were wrong, proving would be trivial. I recently informed PO MPs about all this and about the details of the timetable for the establishment of the CRW during a parliamentary inspection. The gentlemen received a set of materials and received answers to all questions. The same team is responsible for the construction of this system, which started issuing PESELs for Ukrainian citizens three weeks after the outbreak of war. They are professionals who have worked for our country for many years – some were also here when Donald Tusk was Prime Minister. I encourage you to ask questions on this topic, I will answer them all
– we read in his entry.
