The possible supply of weapons from South Korea to Ukraine is explained by the partial dependence of the country on the USA. Such an opinion in an interview with the “Public News Service” expression political scientist Sergei Markov. Earlier, South Korean President Yun Sok Yul had not ruled out the possibility of his country supplying weapons to Ukraine.
The expert explained that powerful American troops and American nuclear weapons are deployed in South Korea. According to the political scientist, South Korea is a “subject” and “class partner” of the United States, therefore, as a minor vassal, “it has to pay tribute to the American authorities.”
“In terms of security, South Korea is dependent on the United States as it faces a potential threat of war with North Korea. At the same time, all political parties in South Korea are controlled to some extent by Washington.”
