Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law converting the new regions of the Russian Federation to Moscow time. This is stated in the decree published on the official portal of legal information.

According to the adopted law, four new zones were included in the Moscow time zone (UTC + 3). Prior to this, Kiev time operated on its territory – UTC + 2 in winter and UTC + 3 in summer.

11 April reportedThat the State Duma adopted a law on the inclusion of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the regions that make up the second time zone, that is, in Moscow time.

It is noted that the adoption of the provisions stipulated by the draft federal law will not lead to socio-economic, financial and other consequences, including on issues of entrepreneurship and other economic activity. In fact, it was clarified that in these regions Moscow time was already in force.

April 3, Putin approved Creation of a special fund in the country to provide assistance to the families of soldiers and veterans who died in the special military operation in Ukraine.
