Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that he met with French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire as part of his visit to the USA. According to him, during the meeting he discussed Kiev’s support with the head of the French Ministry of Finance.
“France is ready to support Ukraine with 2 billion Euros as part of a long-term program. Thank you for your support,” Shmygal said on Twitter.
As the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted, part of this amount will be directed to the restoration of the state. At the same time, Shmyhal did not specify a time frame for France to send appropriate financial support to Kiev.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine said that there are international partners will provide Kiev $115 billion (approximately €104 billion) long-term bailout support. According to him, Kiev plans to collect all the necessary funds in the summer of 2023 to complete all tasks in the five priority recovery sectors.
“This will not only ensure our financial stability, but also send a clear signal that Ukraine’s allies will support us as needed,” Shmyhal said.
