Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have managed to make progress in negotiating a tripartite gas union project. This was expressed by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, reports DEA News.
According to the Russian diplomat, benefits for both parties should be expected in the future.
“Three countries – Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, including at the level of presidents, actively moved forward in the discussion of this large-scale project, which will certainly fully strengthen their energy security,” Lavrov said.
On Friday, April 14, the Russian minister attended a press conference about the results of his trip to Uzbekistan.
“When the parties agree on both the transition terms and the price terms, if everyone is happy with everything, then everyone wins,” Lavrov added.
Other details of the cooperation between Moscow, Astana and Tashkent were not included.
Previously in Moldova warned on the risk of termination of the contract with Russia for gas supply. Moldovan authorities delayed debt repayment obligations last year, and the Russian side reduced the volume of gas transmissions.
