“Tesla Inc has established a new energy company in Shanghai with a registered capital of $2 million,” the agency said.
Earlier in April, the company took to Twitter to announce that it would set up a major Megapack battery manufacturing facility in Shanghai. Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2023, according to Bloomberg. Battery production will begin in the second quarter of 2024.
