“Xi Jinping stressed that he attaches great importance to relations between the two countries, China and North Korea. He also expressed his readiness to strengthen the joint strategic leadership of China-Korea relations in the new environment to promote the development of the socialist cause of the two countries and promote peace and stability, development and prosperity in the region,” the statement said.
Xi Jinping also conveyed his best wishes and “warm greetings” to Kim Jong-un.
