The United Right’s ninth victory in the election is within reach, provided there is a joint list – said on TVP on Tuesday the deputy head of Solidarna Polska, minister at the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Michał Wójcik. He added that the decision on the formula of the SP’s start in the elections will be taken in the coming weeks.
Joint list with Solidarna Polska?
The Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, Michał Wójcik, was asked on TVP on Tuesday whether Solidarna Polska would participate in parliamentary elections on a joint list with PiS.
Scenario No. 1 is the United Right’s joint list scenario. That gave us eight wins in a row. The ninth is within reach, provided of course there is a common list
Wojcik replied.
He also stressed that Solidarna Polska is prepared for a possible independent start to the elections.
If there is no agreement on this, we are candidates ourselves. (…) All scenarios must be considered, but one must also remember that if there is no joint list of the United Right (…), the right will not win, Donald Tusk will win
noted the minister.
“We can easily operate as a separate political entity”
Asked about Solidarna Polska’s chance at an independent start, he replied:
Internal polls show that we can easily operate as a separate political entity. (…) This is about 4-5 percent.
According to Wójcik, “the joint list will be from the United Right”. He added that a decision on the matter will be made in the coming weeks.
The elections to the Sejm and the Senate will take place in autumn 2023. According to the provisions of the electoral law, there are four possible dates for this year’s parliamentary elections: October 15, October 22, October 29 or November 5.
