Stéphane Dujarric, the representative of the UN Secretary-General, said at his briefing that the issues related to the export of food and fertilizer from Russia are “extremely important” for the international community and that price increases for them should be brought under control. It has been reported TASS.
“Alongside the issue of ammonia fertilizers, discussions continue between the UN and Russia on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding on facilitating the export of Russian food and fertilizers. All these issues are extremely important for the international community to contain the rise in prices,” he said.
According to him, UN representatives continue to engage with the US, UK and the private sector, as well as the parties involved in the processes, to improve the situation regarding the export of the relevant products.
Previously, due to the flow of Ukrainian grain to Eastern European countries, agricultural producers and farmers take less profit, which can be the main motive of political change.
