First of all, we are fighting for an independent majority – said the head of the PiS club, Deputy Chairman of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki, on Thursday, speaking of the upcoming parliamentary elections. More Trzaskowski, more Tusk, and our position will be better – he reckoned.

Terlecki on “reducing the appetite of the coalition partners”
The politician was a guest in the program “In open cards”, broadcast on Radiowa Jedynka and TVP Info. In it he referred to the journalist’s comment that “he came to be known as a moderate enthusiast of a joint list with Solidarna Polska” and the question “whether his enthusiasm increased a few months before the election”.
It hasn’t changed (enthusiasm-PAP). It’s hard to call it enthusiasm. Of course I accept the political decisions we make together. If it is decided that we go together, then of course we will work very energetically to be together in the Sejm
Terlekki said.
Although I would be in favor of curbing the appetites of our coalition partners, who think they can expect a lot once they are in the coalition
– added.
The head of the PiS club was also asked about the snippets of the coalition agreement revealed by OdNowa Association leader Marcin Ociepa on “whether the records look with Solidarna Polska and whether PiS has no leeway.”
I think he has (room to maneuver – PAP). These agreements will certainly be updated for the election campaign. In any case, this agreement you are talking about, made public, does not cover any other elements of our United Law. It remains for us to determine at least the exact list or number of candidates of individual coalition partners on our lists
Terlekki said.
Referring to the comment that “so that everyone has equal opportunities”, the head of the PiS club stated that “they are not equal, they depend on size and recognition”.
If someone has one percent, or half a percent, or even 1.5 percent. support in the polls, he cannot expect to be treated in the same way as Law and Justice, which itself has about thirty percent in the polls
– added.
Coalition with the Confederacy?
When asked “whether many are rightly already beginning to predict a Law and Justice coalition with the Confederacy,” Terlecki replied, “First of all, we are fighting for an independent majority.”
I think we’re almost there. Let’s not forget that in election campaigns we won a few percent, and sometimes even a dozen. We will supplement this result during the campaign, it will certainly be much better than the poll at the moment
he assessed.
Second, as he noted, “an improvement in mood is visible, the Polish economy is getting back on track, inflation is starting to come down.”
Before the elections, there is no reason to start political talks about the future coalition, although there are certainly politicians in Konfederacja, and I think in PSL, who support the concept of a strong right or center immediately after the elections. I think it is worth talking to them if there is a need to add to the list or expand our positions in the Sejm or Senate.
Terlekki said.
“The ground disappears from under Tusk’s feet”
He also referred to PO leader Donald Tusk’s recent statement in Sosnowiec that Catholics cannot vote for PiS.
Are you Catholic, do you want to follow the Decalogue, do you believe in the fundamentals of Christianity, do you understand Jesus Christ? Then you can’t vote for PiS or the Confederation. For the love of God, it has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity, it has nothing to do with the Decalogue
– said the leader of the PO at the time.
Terlecki pointed out that “in the Senate, where the majority has a Platform with snacks, a resolution defending the good name of Pope John Paul II is blocked.”
This is the political strategy of the left, but to a large extent also of the Platform
he assessed.
Tusk’s desperate efforts indicate that the ground is indeed shifting beneath his feet. I expect that at this point most PO politicians are thinking about replacing him, as happened with Marshal (Małgorzata-PAP) Kidawa-Błońska. (…) The problem is that there is not much for whom
– rated the head of the PiS club.
Noting that Donald Tusk – as speculated by some media outlets – could be replaced by Rafał Trzaskowski, Terlecki said the latter “showed himself as a proponent of rather crazy ideas on climate protection, food issues and civil liberties”.
Secondly, the scandal is developing around the Warsaw City Hall, there are arrests, serious accusations. The question, of course, is how much he himself knew about it, or why it was not revealed and suppressed sooner. (…) This is not a solution that can save the PO or the opposition
he assessed.
We watch it with amusement, at Mr. Tusk’s beating in Poland. Almost every day brings him either making a mistake or forgetting something, or promising something that is unrealistic. (…) More Trzaskowski, more Tusk, and our position will be better
he said.
