The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, said that at the European Union summit in December, he will discuss the start of negotiations on the membership of Moldova and Ukraine. TASS.
“The European Commission will soon publish a report on the progress made by Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia on the European path. “Based on this report, I intend to raise the issue of starting negotiations with all three countries for their admission to the EU,” he said.
The politician did not specify how discussions and consultations on Georgia’s EU membership would be conducted until the country was granted official candidate status.
