Russian Foreign Ministry says the French have started to support military aid to Ukraine

Aleksey Meshkov, the Russian Ambassador to France, told Rossiya-24 TV channel that the percentage of the population in France supporting military aid to Ukraine has decreased.

According to Meshkov, since the beginning of the special military operation, the vast majority of the French are in favor of providing military aid to Ukraine.

“Today that rate has dropped sharply because people are primarily wondering why this money left the country at a time when it was needed to support its population; And the second question that no one in the West wants to answer in detail is why spend money on killing people instead of spending money on supporting the people that the West allegedly cares so much about,” the diplomat said.

He added that mixed feelings persist in French society.
