Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said in a statement at the Security Council meeting that the ongoing investigations by Germany, Denmark and Sweden into sabotage in Nord Stream may be aimed at concealing evidence. It has been reported TASS.
Nebenzia recalled that representatives of states who doubted the advisability of conducting an international investigation initially considered it necessary to wait for the completion of national investigations.
“Precious time is running out, and there are growing suspicions that these investigations are not aimed at clarifying the circumstances of the sabotage, but rather to cover up the evidence and clean up the crime scene,” he said.
According to the diplomat, all those involved in the explosions in the gas pipelines will be identified and the crime will be revealed in all its details.
The Permanent Representative to the UN also pointed out that the US “does everything” to avoid an objective international investigation, reminding him of the phrase “The thief and the lid are on fire”.
Before the UN Security Council He did not accept Joint decision of Russia and China on the sabotage investigation in Nord Stream.
According to this RTseven countries co-sponsored the resolution: Belarus, North Korea, Syria, Eritrea, Nicaragua, Venezuela and China.
