“We are tired of discussing whether there will be a common opposition list in the autumn elections (…) from our perspective everything is clear, this matter must be closed. From our side, all statements have been made, there is nothing more we can do,” said Cezary Tomczyk, deputy chairman of the PO, on RMF FM.
The deputy head of PO answered the question of when the series would end “together or apart”.
It ended for us many weeks ago. If there are smaller or bigger opposition parties that don’t want to have a joint list, we build our own campaign, we moved to Poland, but we can’t close the door. This is the responsibility of the greatest
said Tomczyk. However, his words are contradicted by Donald Tusk’s recent speech in Żywiec, in which he sharply threatened the other opposition parties with the loss of support if they did not enter the elections from a single list.
KO coalition with the Confederacy?
Is a KO coalition with the Confederacy possible?
At this stage I don’t think so, but the voters really determine what the government will look like later on
– replied the PO politician, not clearly ruling out such a scenario.
Today I would like my partner in the future government to be Szymon Hołownia’s Poland 2050, the Polish People’s Party, perhaps the left, if it were a grand coalition, and today it is possible. Today, opening up some other possibilities is counterproductive to this discussion
he said.
Tomczyk threatened that after taking power, the KO would remove the Constitutional Tribunal judges whom he considered “students”.
The Sejm could not – from the point of view of the law – elect judges to positions that had already been filled, so resolutions appointing judges that were illegitimate from the outset are simply considered null and void
– he said.
If the KO is already tired of discussing one opposition list, as Cezary Tomczyk says, why is Donald Tusk still calling for participation in this project and threatening opposition partners?
