Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow has not yet discussed its position with Yerevan in connection with the recognition by the Armenian Constitutional Court of the obligations contained in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). He told the broadcast “To climb”.
“Not yet. “We will discuss this with our partners,” said the Kremlin Spokesperson.
On March 24, it was learned that the Constitutional Court of Armenia constitutionally recognized the obligations under the Rome Statute of the ICC. This decision enters into force from the moment of its publication. In addition, the Rome Statute must be approved by the Armenian Parliament. Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Armenia’s representative in international legal affairs, had announced the country’s accession to the Rome Statute when the ICC forced Azerbaijan to unblock the Lachin corridor.
On March 17, the ICC’s preliminary hearing chamber in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Presidential Child Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova.
