Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski signed an ordinance including office workers in the Gender Equality Plan. At the same time, he shared that there are an equal number of women and men in managerial positions in the offices that are subordinate to him.

– said President Trzaskowski.
He stressed that this is exactly what gender equality is all about.
The Gender Equality Plan is – according to Trzaskowski – intended to serve equality in HR policy and to spread knowledge among employees about the benefits of working with people who differ from each other, both in terms of gender and beliefs, or the so-called cultural context.
Gender equality at city hall?
The city hall said that according to data from January 1, 2022, more than 9,000 people were employed in the capital’s offices. people, including more than 6,000 women (72%) and more than 2,000 men (28%). Women also dominate in higher management positions. The most feminized positions in this group are chief accountant and deputy chief accountant positions – over 80 percent. employed women. In turn, the gender distribution in the position of office director is equal. Men have a small advantage here – 53 percent. The situation is similar in the position of deputy office director – 51 percent.

According to the city hall, the gender equality plan focuses on five objectives: spreading knowledge among office workers about gender equality, developing a system to combat mobbing and discrimination, striving to offer employees the opportunity to combine work and private life and to create a equality HR policies, as well as spreading knowledge among employees about the benefits of working with people who differ in terms of personal characteristics, beliefs and cultural contexts.
